We’re searching for a Principal Equipment Engineer to be part of our Photo, Equipment Eng. II Department diverse team of talent.
What you will be working on
- Sustain and improve equipment performance indices to meet operations goals
- Assume role of equipment co-ordinator who will work closely with vendors and other departments/sections in trouble-shooting equipment related issues and equipment improvement projects.
- Lead and Drive Continuous Improvement for Cost, Yield, Productivity, Uptime and Defense Systems
- Constant review of line practices for continuous improvement and pre-emptive implementation of Defense systems to ensure no major events
- Tool Ownership and accountability for Cost, Uptime, Wafers scrap, Parts Management, Rework and Equipment Down Memo Reduction, RTM/FDC OOC reduction
- 24/7 standby for ad hoc tool issues and decision making
- Chair discussions on troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues to support daily production
- Coordinate New Equipment Startup and Relocation to support Production Plan
- Update of OIs and SOPs to document best practices
- Provide training materials and certifications for new engineers and PM crew, while offering strong leadership to maintain team morale and control attrition rates.
- Involve with Tech Transfer activities and co-working with Process Counter Parts
- Lead/Participate in Cross Functional Activities to support company level projects
- Lead in Transform Platform and generate LSS, BKMs and Trade Secrets for value creation for the company
- Lead in machine Part repair and R&M reduction activities for self-sufficiency.
- Ensure good 6S housekeeping, safety practices, and adherence to cleanroom protocols in the working area
- Establish communication channel with Mother FAB to transfer BKM and perform benchmarking.
- Review RTM, SPC, Alarm 3, Tableau, and EMAP daily, and provide updates in production meetings on tool issues and wafer scrap
More about you
- MSc/Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent
- 3-5 years of relevant working experience in semiconductor manufacturing environment.
- Sound engineering knowledge, which may include semiconductor devices theory, electronics, electrical/ pneumatic/ hydraulic control system, digital principle and wafer fabrication processes.
- Possess leadership qualities such as leading, motivating, and developing others.
